Singapore Visa Guide for Indian Passport Holders
By the Idea Holiday team · 5 min read
Short answer
Indian passport holders need a Singapore visa before they travel. Apply through an authorised agent such as Idea Holiday, since the visa is processed through the Singapore High Commission in India. Processing takes 7 to 10 working days after your documents are submitted, and applications open only one month before your travel date.
Documents for everyone
Your original passport, valid for at least six months from the date of travel, and a signed visa application form. Two fresh passport-size photos: not used for an earlier visa, matt finish, white background, with 80% face coverage.
A bank statement for the last six months with a minimum balance of ₹1 lakh. An e-statement is fine, and a personal or company account both work. A hotel booking and an air ticket are also needed; dummy bookings are accepted for the application.
Documents by occupation
Employed: three months' salary slips and a company NOC (no-objection letter).
Self-employed: an original cover letter on business letterhead, and your company registration.
Retired: proof of retirement, six months of pension bank statements updated to date, and your personal bank statement.
Marriage certificate and invitations
If your spouse's name is not endorsed on your passport, bring a marriage certificate. Business visits need extra documents, including a cover letter addressed to the Visa Officer, Singapore High Commission, New Delhi, and, if you are invited, an invitation letter and form V39A from the company you are visiting. Ask us which set applies to you.
Fees and where you apply
From Delhi, the visa charge is ₹3,400 per person, our service charge is ₹590 per person, and the return courier is ₹500. The office that processes your visa depends on the state on your passport: Delhi covers states such as Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal, Mumbai covers Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Odisha and Chhattisgarh, and Chennai covers the south, including Kerala and Karnataka. Documents can vary by jurisdiction, so we confirm your list when you book.
